Well the first weekend has been hot but we are seeing deer.   My son Brian is on his first deer hunt, using a bow that 4 point made for the bow trade this year and got a doe this morning.  His first deer ever.  He saw a huge buck rubbing a tree out of the same stand yesterday but it was 70 yards out.  I think he is hooked.   High double lung that hit the offside shoulder and the arrow stayed in her.  She was dead within 30 seconds but went about 150 yards.  I highly recommend Kenny's lease.

Awesome start to the season!!

I may be wrong, but I think Dan told me that Brian is also a Marine.

Forgive me if that is not correct!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Congrats Brian, glad the bows getting some use.

That's the way to start off.  Congratulations to him!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Congratations on a fine critter, you done good!
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Congrats to your son on his first-many more in his future I'm sure.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Congrats! What camo is Brian wearing?  Looks effective.
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

It is Marpat, issued to Marine Corps.  Brian just retired.

Retired USAF, congrats on Brian's retirement. I thought it looked Mil Spec, although a different pattern then when I was last in (2001).
