I'd like to just confirm that it's OK to send money directly with Paypal to paypal@stjudes.org for items we have won on the Auction?

It's working fine for me so far.  

Do we have to notify Doug or Terry that the payment is made or are they notified immediately?

This is pasted from the "How The Auction Works" thread.  Pay special attention to the last paragraph and help Doug out!    

You can pay with check or M/O written to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, (please do not write them to me or Trad Gang) and mailed to

Or you can pay via Paypal.com Click on the link and log in or register then click on "Send Money" enter paypal@stjude.org in the "pay to" space then just follow the instructions. Remember when using paypal they charge a 3% fee to St Jude's so if you want to full amount of your bid to go to the kids please add 3% to your total.

Please give me all the info from your particular auction, reference ST Jude Auction, item, donor, both your TG handles. With a few hundred items it gets real confusing for this ol country boy.

I meant when you pay through PayPal. The reason I ask is because when you send a check or M/O to Doug he knows that the payment has been made. What about if we pay through PayPal? Is he notified by PayPal or St. Jude's? Or is it an honor system where after sending the money we notify Doug? Sorry for not being clear the first time.

Quick ?n.Is the donor notified that payment has been sent to St. Judes.Or is it marked paid on the auction site?

Eric, when you payment is received by Doug he will mark it paid on the auction site.

Be patient.  The PayPal link works.  You have to keep in mind the guys are quite overwhelmed with the auction as well as still doing their "day jobs".  And are doing an excellent job I might add!!!!

Yep, I'm here been out and about for several hours already but just getting to check in here every so often...

There is a post at the top of each auction that should answer your questions.

M/Os and checks come to me made out to St Jude CRH, I get notice of you paypal payments and post on the auction theads as I have time.

Things are flowing smoothly so far, gotta run for now...

Thanks a bunch, Doug and Terry and everyone else involved with the auction. You guys do a great job!!

Thanks for clarifying for me! This is my first St. Jude's auction and already I am having a blast spending money!

How long will it take to get notified that a payment has been received through paypal.  I made my payment Monday morning and have yet to receive any word.  Paypal says my payment has yet to be confirmed by the auction???  I guess I am just a bit concerned and impatient....  Thanks alot gentleman....

When you pay through paypal, they email you verification.

Just click on forward, add Doug's email adr, a new subject such as
"St. Jude Auction",  type in Forum # - item - who donated it - and you AKA....click send.
