It has been 15 years since I last shot but it felt as good as ever. Nothing special I only shot 7 arrows from 5 yards but it was just as fun as I remember it.  I chose 5 yards to start with as I just want to get use to shooting again and try to focus more on form and release than actually trying to aim.

Here is a photo of the shot group.  For safety I was shooting down from the deck to the yard ( don't worry I didn't shoot in the kitchen, Ibrought the box in to photograph it).  Had to use a box from our recent move as I could not find any bales of straw in this town for anything.

Here is a picture of my widow, MAII Graybark.

Also, can you of you all help me out.  I have never seen just plain black widow limbs but when my father bought this bow back in the early 90's the original owner had this 2nd set of limbs in just black.

Thanks and looking forward to shooting with you all...

Chris

The greybark limbs are 56# @ 30" and the black limbs are 50# @ 30".  My draw length comes to right about 31.5" so however much it adds in that extra 1.5 inches i am not sure.

longbowben

Wow you must be one big ol boy to have a 31.5 draw.Add 4 lb so 60 and54 my gess black widows dont stack.Very smothe bows.

Those limbs should have a ser# on them. Go to the black widow site and ask about them on there Ken is there a lot and will be happy to answer all your questions about the bow.

Black Widow used to finsh bows and limbs in all black when there was some type of cosmetic blem. Sometimes you can pick up a all black black widow cheep and refinsh it and have a very nice looking bow.

Oh come on, you don't shoot in the kitchen?!! lol  Someone on here told me they shoot through the kitchen down the hall to a target...until they hit the blender in the kitchen!

Glad to hear you are back at it and lovin' every minute of it!

When I was younger my dad took me to michigan for some giant archery show and while we were there he bought me my first bow.  He was curious how it shot so he put the pillows from the bed against the wall and let'r fly.  It was 2 minutes before management called asking about arrows sticking out of the wall in the room next door.

That's a good one Johner! That reminds me of my dad and the first BB gun he gave me. He walked across the yard and turned his back to me and said "shoot me in the pocket"...I said NO WAY! He wanted to see how it would do at the distance...obviously not thinking it would hurt much. So, I pumped it up and let it fly. He actually got off the ground! He wanted his turn after that, but he couldn't catch me! lol
