I just received my Morrison Cheyenne, today. Bought here as a second hander, I violated Doctor's Orders (& The Wife's stern looks) & took it outside for a play. First impression is that it feels very very similar to my Beloved Horne (Cold, dead fingers....) as far as the grip goes. Weight is very similar also & remarkably light for a 'curve.
So, new string fitted, brace set at 6-3/4", nock point at 5/8...lets rock!

Sooooo smooth to shoot! The draw is like silk, possibly down to the long limbs/short riser arrangement ('A' riser, 'D' limbs giving a 60" bow) Handshock is as I'd expected; non existent. There's a little bit of string-slap to the limbs that I'm not used to, being a longbow shooter, but I think I'll be OK with it, if not a little wool should quieten things down a touch.

Best of all, she shoots right where I'm looking, out to 30yds! After that I run out of garden.

A little eye-candy   ;) .....

Now I've just got to wait for my next Morry to arrive (in a couple of days!)
I think I may be converted.....

The Morrisons have well deserved, great reputations.  That's a beauty.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Yup yup...you converted now bro. Wait till you shoot the foam/carbon longbow limbs   :readit:

George, that's high praise indeed from a guy that has seen as many bows come and go as you have (not a dig at your age but a tip of the hat to your experience).

Rob,

I'm glad the bow made it OK. I'm also glad you like it. Try the rubber cat wiskers on it and it will be whisper quiet. I don't know why but they do the trick. Welcome to the club!

The foam cores don't even need any silencers. They are calling you.....Rob, Rob.....

Beautiful bow, Rob.  I have a Cheyenne on the way, so I'll fill some of the time looking at yours.   :)  Really glad to hear it is such a smooth shooter.

You guys are killin' me.....I sold a set of foam core limbs for my Cheyenne because they were too light in poundage...now you bring them up again!!! I am remembering how they felt...no, no, don't go there!! Good think Bob doesn't have any on his site in 55# or I would have to call him...YES, I looked on his site!  I've got it bad!
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Killdeer

Just came in from shooting mine.
With the foam core limbs.  :p
Cat whiskers migrated, trying to sneak their way to the serving in the middle, so it is yarn puffs now. I started shooting a bullseye target, arrows all over the place. Spotted an antelope at an unknown distance and killed it dead. Very dead. I had to laugh out loud, one for the relief that I could actually hit something, and two because it showed me that the bow wants to hunt!

Congrats on a beauty, your colors look much like mine. Well, except for the limbs.  :D
Killdeer
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
