Thanks, what a great gesture. My dad was career Army, retired as a Msgt. My father in law was at Pearl Harbor, Dec 7 of 41, and retired as a Col. I only did 4 years active, with another 5 in the Reserves. My son did 5 years in the Army, with tours in Bosnia and Iraq. Thanks to all who served!

I wouldn't have traded my three decades for anything.  I know these kinds of things "connect" those far from home to the real world.

BenBow, please toss my name into the drawing hat.  I will say that if drawn the arrows will be sent to Bagdad, Iraq with other archery equipment.  We have been sending archery equipment over there for almost two years.  They will go to  the Camp Cuervo Archery Club,  Bagdad, Iraq.

I've decided that the best way to resolve the request of many of you that these be given to active members is to put all of you in the drawing THEN IF YOUR NAME IS DRAWN YOU CAN PICK THE INDIVIDUAL YOU BELIEVE DESERVES THE ARROWS. When I announce the winner of the drawing that person can tell me if they want them or who they want them sent to. How's that? Again if the winner wants these go to combat active I will add an additional item to the original winner and the arrows go to the individual of their choice.

I had shots fired at me in anger on the DMZ in Korea by the North Koreans, does that count as combat action? I can't say that we returned fire because that would be an armistice violation.

I know, it's a bit weird that I served in both services. Long story.

Thanks

Greg
We should have shotguns for this kind of deal.

Galen, since I was the first to suggest this honorable gift be given to someone active I would like to apologize for making this difficult for you. I understand why you are doing this and after reconsidering, it would be an honor to receive this gift of appreciation from you if I happen to be drawn. God bless you and your family.

Is that like when you have a hard day shooting spots because you keep misjudging the distance?
