Kevin,

I have had 3 Cahokia's. I conside it the best 1 pc longbow I have ever shot. I recently aquired one from Hogdancer. It has more of a recurve grip then I was used to on my other 2. I didnt think I would like it but it has grown on me. I'll take some pics this weekend and post em on this thread when I do.

Thanks guys.

Hogdancer, is that the standard grip or the pistol grip HDM was talking about? Keep the pics coming.

TIA

Thats my new baby. She will be on the way to AS for a refinish next week.

hogdancer

That is more of a locator grip, I think.
Jim, I hope you have better luck getting what you want from AS than I have.

Well, I took the trade. It seems like a really well-made bow, gonna take a bit of tuning to get it shooting well for me, but here's some pics of it. 64" 58@28, curly maple and bubinga riser and bamboo cored limbs with ambrosia maple limbs. Plus, it has moose antler overlays on the back of the riser and on the tips.

Nice bow Kevin, again just to much poundage. Man, you've got it bad.

Dave, I figured it out. Just get a different bow whenever the itch gets too bad    :D

I figure about the time I need to go down in weight, you'll be going down too, so I'll just get yours for cheap    :bigsmyl:

Let me know when you're ready to come up. I got a new spot to stay that's prime hunting, plus the price is pretty good, compared to a lot of other lodges. Maybe you can get Maynard or Taylor to come up with you, I can't seem to talk them into making the trip.

Yes, I know about the itch. I traded for a different bow last week.

I woud like to if I ever get a chance. M and T are to busy fishing. Come down and try out M's new boat.

OOOHH!! What's that bow?? Please tell me it's too heavy and you need to find a new home for it, lol.

I'd love to make it down, but I'm pretty booked this year. I'll be lucky to get a week or two offto go fishing and camping with the girls this year. But it would be fun to try and break-in M's boat.

Looks like a nice one. I'll start keeping an eye out for one of those. Actually, it looks a lot like my Miami Valley, just needs a little more curve to the tips.
