Some people claim to have an Elvis sighting well we had a Fred Bear sighting!    :biglaugh:

My friend Ben Saye and I went to the Flat Rock shoot in Missouri this past weekend and camped next to a man that looks a lot like Fred Bear.

We saw him earlier in the day while we were walking the 3D course and we joked "hey look there's Fred Bear". Then after shooting we were relaxing in our camp and our neighbor came over to visit and it was him.

We told him that we thought he looked a lot like Fred Bear and he said "yeah other people have told him that also". He said that he has a hat like the one that the real Fred Bear wore but he didn't bring it. We asked him if we could get our picture take with Fred Bear and he said "sure let me get my bow".  He was a good sport and we had a fun time with this. For the rest of the time we called him Fred and you could tell he was really eating that up.

It may look like him but doesn't shoot like him. I'll let someone else figure out what I mean by that.  :)

Had the priviledge of meeting the real Fred in 1984, a definite highlight in my bowhunting life!  This guy does look alot like him,(only shorter!)

In Him we live and move and have our being , make a joyful noise, sing unto the Lord, tell him of your love, dance before him...

Nope, this guy's much better looking.
Fred had that gaunt Abe Lincoln thing going.
Nice smile lines, though.

Sorry I didn't see you guys there Saturday.  I shot the course with my Okie friends and Ryan (the Black Widow winner) made my bad shooting look terrible.  Had a lot of fun though and talked to some friends.

He is Chuck bishop, from Dover Ar. he was actually shootin a custom TD Kodiak till it blew a limb. I think the fact that he dresses like bear has something to do with it. But we do kid him alot. He is a good guy..

Yeah he showed us his Kodiak. He told us that someone during the shoot saw the limb twist when he was drawing the bow back and told him not to let loose of the string. Chuck must have been a boy scout because he brought a backup bow to shoot.
