I am looking at the steel force phat heads 145gr. I shoot a 55lb recurve at 28"draw. I am new to traditional and this head would make my total arrow weight to 505gr. My arrow speed would be 180fps. I hunt whitetail deer and hogs, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this head or any insight you could share about this head. Also any info if you think this will give sufficent penetration.

Thank you

I don't have any personal experience with the Steel Force heads, but they've been around a long time with a steady reputation.

I've heard some good reports about the "phat heads".
Penetration should not be a problem with your set up.

One of the guys at the club shoots the SF from his widow and loves them,I've not tried them myself but O dought you'd have any trouble with them from your bow
Shoot straight and have FUN!!

The 145 gr. Phathead is an excellent broadhead. I think that Steelforce is second only to Silverflame in out of the pack sharpness. Good choice.
