It was anything but a well placed shot!!!He wheeled away at the shot, and the hit was waaaaaaay back! Luckily, that also put him into a hard quartering away position. It was 18hrs after I shot him that we finally recovered him. That's why I have that look on my face in the pic. Literally, 5 minutes before that pic was taken and after hours of searching, I thought I was never gonna see him again!!!! I got real lucky on this one!

Thanks for all the compliments, guys!!!!

I don't have a trophy room, I have a memory house, with critters spread all over. That being said, I'm at the tail end of a huge remodel job, and currently they are all sitting on the floor in the spare bedroom, with the exception of the pedestal mounts!

Nice job Lt.
Where were you hunting when you ran across that big red deer?
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

TIM B

I like the idea of a memory house even better Bisch..... A lotta mine are far from trophys in some's books but are very important to me

Friend

Those who have spent time in the field have all experienced lost wounded game. We do our best to retrieve a downed animal and our best efforts may fall short.

You persevered and gave the red stag the ultimate respect by your relentless effort. Our quarry deserves nothing less.  You honored us as hunters by being the example of relentless pursuit by endeavoring to recover a wounded animal. And we share in your joy in achieving a successful recovery.

The hunt, in no way, concludes with the shot execution

Congrats Bisch!!!!
