hickory bow or hickory firewood?

good morning      :help:     so what do ya'll think, is this thing firewood or what?

Since it's on the belly, it looks like a compression fracture to me.  Hit or miss as to whether it could get worse or not.  At this stage (or if it gets slightly worse, or if you get a small cluster of them), it could be saved with a radiused belly patch repair.

can't you sand it down & just rub in some super glue in to it, then re-seal it.

I by no means know what I am talking about.  But have been reading trad bowyers bible and they say the belly is compressing and no splinters, but on the back is the problem area for splinters.

that was fast, yep its all on the belly, the back is nice and smooth, not a crack anywhere. so since its safe, I'll be putting it along with some arrows and a glove on the St Judes list     :thumbsup:    Thanks guys
