Bitten by the Zipper bug again...

Those of you who have been on this website for awhile know I have a major weakness for Zippers. I first met Bill Dunn in Kalamazoo in 2009. Bill had some beautiful bows that shot just as good as they looked. It wasn't long before I had ordered my first one, and my collection of Zippers has grown over the years. The Evolution recurve limbs Bill produced were always my favorite. Tom Jenkins took over Zipper and is doing a fantastic job with it. Tom contacted me about the new C2 limbs he was coming out with. It didn't take very many conversations, and I was on his build list. I just happened to have a good looking SXT riser Bill Dunn had built me a few years ago. Tom Jenkins has always had a real eye for some amazing wood combos. I shipped the riser to Tom and told him to go ahead and pick the veneers. He certainly didn't disappoint... Just got everything put together and so far I'm really liking everything about these limbs. They are extremely quiet and very smooth drawing. I can't wait to get outside tomorrow and shoot some arrows at a longer distance.  I have to say Zipper is in good hands and Tom has a real winner with the C2 limbs !!!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Beautiful bow!

I have been fighting off the urge to get on the list, but think I'm going to give in this Spring!

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new limb design.

Zippers are a favorite of mine for sure. If I didn't make my own bows I'd be ordering a Zipper when I "needed" or wanted a new bow.

Finally got a chance to do some shooting today. Up until this point it had only been close range in the basement. I'm really impressed by the C2 limbs. Talk about a smooth drawing and incredibly quiet recurve limb. I honestly can't remember ever shooting a recurve this darn quiet.  Not to mention they really sling an arrow down range quite nicely. Tom sure has a real winner with these new limbs !!!
