All of you can stop searching for the Holy Grail of bows for I have found it.

All original (leather handle, strike plate - even the feather rest!) 1959 Bear Kodiak. Not refinished - still looks wet from 1959. It is as good to mint as I think you can ever find in a 59.

Congrats on a great find! Looks almost brand new.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Your Right, that's the Grail. Only thing better would be left handed.  :)

Just out of curiosity, where did you find it?

That's a beauty!

You better send it back to it's owner though. It has Bow Doc's initials on it  :bigsmyl:

Very Nice!
Also curious as to where you came across that beauty? Piece of history right there.

As far as where I got it. Johnnyrazorhead (on the boards here) put it on the auction site with a buy it now price that I thought was fair. We communicated about the bow several times. Droptine59 vouched for him - I bought the bow. Now that I got it I think his buy it now price was more than fair.

Nala

Beautiful Bow!!  Congrats!.

How about some full length pics of her strung up and unstrung?

That sure is a nice bit of gear, and a great connection to the past. Have fun!
