Just in from Jamie aka Ishawannabe don't know what it is made of but it sure is a nice knife and great work.
i under stand Jamie is just getting started in knapping, if this is a rookie's work , i sure want to see some of his work when he gets to be a pro.

That's obsidian. Which is basically volcanic glass! Sweet knife!

looks like mahogony obsidian. I have lots of it but most of it has been turned into gravel. lol Great looking knife.

It is mahogany obsidian, but if you hold it up to the light, it has waves of transparent glass too. The antler came from my first ever eight pointer(wrecked my subaru!) :D

Ant no brag Jamie it is a great knife and as you said if you hold it up to the light it has all those lines in it .
