does anyone know if higher draw weight limbs are available for IFL risers by KAP, Win & Win, and Hoyt, as the highest draw weight limbs i`ve found were 48#, although it was only UK online archery stores that i`ve checked. Not sure if US stores offer higher d/w limbs to cater for bow hunters?
Does anyone know if the above IFL recurve bows can be used for hunting?

Darren.... remember to do the math!    If you have found 48# ILF limbs, that is probably rated for a 25" riser.   If you put them on a 17" trad ILF riser, you're going to end up with more like 56#.  Should be plenty for hunting.  If you really feel you need more poundage than that, I fear you're either out of luck or will have to have limbs made, in which case you might as well look at other take down bows than ILF.  Remember that those limbs are really designed for the convenience of target shooters.   The fact that they're handy for us trad guys is nice, but you're not going to get a really heavy bow out of them without overstressing to the point of potential breakage.

Like Dick said ,you could go to a shorter riser for hunting.

Hoyt makes limbs to 50# on a 25" riser. You can also check with Border and Morrison.I think they may make some a little heavier.

One of the cheapest choices is to go to a Warf riser,Which is an old 21" compound riser modified to accept ILF limbs. With a set of 50# Hoyt limbs you could probably get 55-57 pounds which should be heavy enough for anything except maby dangerous game.

Look at Tradtech, Morrison or Border for heavy ILFs...heavier than 58#, + or -.

Tradtech has 60 and 65#rs and the other fellas can build anything you want.  The delineation on Olympic style limbs relate to a 25" riser, you gain about a pound per inch as you shorten.
