Who makes the best file for sharpening broadheads, I have a Nicholson and it doesn't seem to cut good.

Is it new? I get a new Nicholson every year and they do me proud. Best money I spend every year to not have any hassles when I'm sharpening. I'm sure you'll get lots of responses for Grobet files that 3R sells but I can get a Nicholson at my local hardware store.

I use a regular Napa 8" bastard file. Like VTer say's. They do need replaced. All files dull after a while.

Good luck,

Todd

A Grobet file will cut the teeth off of a Nicholson, but if you really want a good one, do a google search for "flexible body file" these are used in auto body work. They have a hole in each end for mounting on a board with screws, and they cut like crazy. I have two of them, and they are great.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

I like a really big file.......far more stable and stays sharp for a longer time.

**DONOTDELETE**

U have a nicholson mill bastard file 16" Had it for 2 years and I get hair poppen sharp... I got it from Amazon ( I hope it's ok to say their name)

LEOPARD

I use the DMT Duosharp.

Does anyone make a file wide enough for the big Snuffers? The largest Nicholson I could find at Lowes isn't quite wide enough to pull two blades down.

For Snuffers, you need a 16" mill bastard file that I think is only available through Granger.

I've used a 12"er for the 160 Snuffers before...it works. I'm sure I'd rather have the 16" file, but it works, nonetheless...

If you hold the head and file by hand diagonally about any size file will work.

Also I will take a new file over any used file.
