Has there been a problem with the carbon rods breaking at the hub?  I was out this morning and two rods broke at the same hub        , they showed signs of excessive wear at the hub joint.  Has anyone else had this problem,  and has anyone delt with PRIMOS since the buyout? I know that the original owners would send out a replacement ASAP at no charge.

haven't had to deal with Primos yet, but you're right, Brooks and Keith were always terrific---they even replaced a rod for me that i broke by not using the right procedure to set my first one up

I just about bought a used one on this trip..it also had a broken rod at one hub and very excessive wear at all the hubs.

As far as I know the same outfit is building them and the boys still are involved.  Give em a call and check it out.  I hope they still have the same great customer service. . .I have four of em now.  LOL

i broke one just the other day myself, i called primos/double bull today and told them i need the ball/nub repair kit and customer service said will be in the mail today, so i would say nothing has changed, the only thing i noticed is if you break the rods and need a new rod they charge for s/h but not for the rods.

When I had a ball come loose they sent me a new rod, said they didn't have faith in re gluing the ball.. Probably got that fixed buy now

Have experienced the same problem as you describe. The Double Bull boys were hard to get in contact with, but eventually they did send out a repair kit free of charge.

I've been using my recurve model DB with the carbon poles for over six years now and never had a problem. The carbon poles are not only lighter, but they're easier to setup too. My first DB had the glass poles and I didn't care for them at all.

hmm....considering the db with the broken rod i was looking at was for sale and cheap, hmmmmmm...might be a db owner myself here in a few days.

Well I recieved the replacement rods for my DB matrix, I ordered them on Friday May 2 and they arrived six days later.  Not only are they fiberglass instead of carbon but they are white.  I thought that it might not make a differance so I opened the blind as if hunting and stepped back and could see the withe rods on the back wall.   Mabe I'm overreacting but I would think that the replacements should be the same material and brown like the originals. Not too happy.
