Has anyone shot the Great tree bows 3rivers is carrying.  Looking at the Deer-Master. How did they shoot. Craftsmans ship?  Trying to find an entry level bow for my brother.

          I actually have owned one for about a year. It was a nice shooting bow. The only cons i can come up with is that it stacks ALOT over 28in, it creeks but some string wax fixed that, and a couple of months ago the upper tip of my bow snapped off after a shot. Though i would not be to worried about that happening with your bow as a talked to Great Tree and they sent me new limbs right away and it seems that the tips of the new limbs have been modified and reinforced. I would very much recommend this bow especially as an entry level bow.

Are the edges of the limbs smooth.  My first bow was a Ragim Impala and the edges of both the first and second set of limbs I got for it were so rough that the wore strings out fast.
Is it fast flight or just dacron?

The edges were actually very smooth, i dont think it was a problem with ware on the limbs but more on faulty design but as i said they fixed that. I was using a dacron string.

my "rehab" bow is from October Mountain Products. Obviously, the fit and overall finish are not great, but no roughness on the limbs, and the tiller is good (havn't gotten the OK from the Doc to shoot it yet) these are under $150

I've been checking out smaller, lighter draw weight bows for my youngest daughter (who has kids of her own!), and came across the Greatree longbow (60", 25#,29#,35#,40#, $160) ...



... but also checked out the Ragim Fox & Fox Custom longbows (62", 20#-45#, $148-$165) ...



... in the long run, I ordered out a custom r/d longbow with bamboo limb cores and cocobolo riser from our sponsor, Mike at Maddog Archery, 60", 33#, less than $200 shipped ...
