Yellow Dog

For eight weeks that is......

I've had an itch to try a Tall Tines Sticklinger since Brian came out with his R/D limb design. Went so far as a few years back I had a good phone conversation with Brian about building me one but never pulled the trigger.

As luck would have it, a couple of weeks ago Fred Cioffi (1/4 Away) had one in the classifieds in my weight range so I thought "now or never". We were going on a family vacation and Fred agreed to hold off shipping, timing its delivery when we'd be arriving back in town.

Unfortunately last week I had a little mishap involving a 16 pound dog, some clumsiness on my part with a little bad luck thrown in. What's a family vacation without at least one trip to the Emergency Room?

In medical jargon "Nondisplaced fracture of the right radial Styloid with inter-articular extension (chauffeurs fracture). No disassociation/dislocation is identified". In laymans terms, a broken wrist on my string hand. Right now no surgery required but it sounds like a cast for the next eight weeks.

Tall Tines 62" Stickflinger, Chechen and Wenge riser with Mango limbs. Should be around 52# with my 30" draw. Sadly all I can do right now is admire her beauty :banghead:

Don't be deceived, he's not as innocent as he looks.

I was gonna give the same offer as Bisch and I'm closer. Less shipping cost, and I won't draw it as far!  :biglaugh:

Get well quick man, and don't rush anything. In other words, listen to the doc.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Oh man that is a bummer! Great looking longbow though.

I have one just a touch lighter, and another on the way.  You should send it north and let a more experienced hand break her in.

Hope you heal up fast Mike. Beautiful bow!

I hope your recovery is complete and quick. That is a fine bow that is also waiting for you to heal up. I'm sure we will hear more from you when you are able to shoot again.

There no way that I wouldn't shoot that bow for 8 weeks I would have a mouth tab on it.

Sorry for your mishap.  That is a beauty for sure.  Wish I had seen this one first, I would have taken it off Fred's hands in a second.  If you ever want to sell it, please PM me first.  Thanks and heal quickly and completely.  God speed.
