Anybody have any experience with the use of this product?  I've noticed 3 Rivers has it for sale.

I've heard both ways. When 3rivers first got them, some guys said they worked good, some didn't. They don't look like they have as much surface area as regular 5" shields.

I'd like to hear more about it, now that they've been around a while. If they work as well as advertised, I wouldn't mind fletching up some carbons with them for real wet days.

I haven't tried those,but I've shot regular vanes before....

I nock them with the cock vane up.....They fly pretty good!!!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

yeah, might have to experiment some with vane or nock placement.

I always read that they work best after they get broken in good. Let us know!

I use them on my fish arrows
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

BEN

I tried them  with no luck whatsoever.....Part of the reason may be that I fletched them with a right-wing jig.  I couldn't get nothing consistant at all so I looked them over again and realized that they do bend more freely one way than the other ----maybe more suited for left-wing fletched arrows?

I just copied this from their web site:

The RAIN VANE™ has micro cuts along the high points of the vane. The cuts are not all the way through. If the vane comes in contact with the arrow rest, bowshelf or the bow cables on that old favorite compound bow, the cuts will separate if the contact is severe enough. If the contact is not severe enough, the archer will notice a scuff mark (s) where the RAIN VANE™ made contact. Take a small knife blade and separate that area only. Look at the picture above. Notice the red hen vane.
That's the area of contact. No other cuts have been separated. Fletch contact negatively affects arrow flight. The Rain Vane reduces the negative.

SHOOTING The Bi-Delta Rain Vane™ Feather-Like™ OFF THE SHELF:
Set your nocks so one vane is up when your arrow is on your bow string.
Open the micro cuts on the right hen vane only. This is the vane that may ride the inside of the shelf.

I'll just have to try em out and report back.

Thanks all,
Gene

When I still had a couple bows set up to shoot off the shelf I had no problem shooting regular vanes as long as they were a soft type and I shot cock vane in.  Paradox cleared them just fine...
