I guess it's my own fault. I should have checked long before now.....

Last July we had our hunting/fishing camp broken into and among the things taken were both of my blinds. They caught the little turds but we only got a fraction of our stuff back and it didn't include either blind. At Christmas my wife got me a no name blind that from the package looked just like one of my old ones, but with 2 foot of snow on the ground it never got taken out of the box until yesterday. Well, it may look the same on the box but it's a mini-me version of my old one. I tried shooting my 56" grizzly out of it and can't get to full draw without touching the front and back of the blind at the same time. At the release both limbs hit the blind and I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside.

Any midgets out there want to buy a blind? Better yet, any of you southern boys that are done turkey hunting want to rent out your blind for a month?     :archer:

Alright Brent, I'm gonna go out on a limb here.....

Why don't you go "blindless"????? As I have told guys before, there's a trick to it,(but I know you can do it)

Get out there and find yourself a good active "strutt-zone" and find a place to set up within bow range.DO NOT use a decoy!!!!! The MINUTE (or second is better LOL)you see the Tom STOP CALLING!!!!! The tom will think that the hen has walked off and will head right for the strutt-zone so he can put on a show and call her back.

Shooting him is easy       It's just a matter of waiting for the "right time".....When Old Tom is all puffed out in "full strutt" wait untill he turns his back to you and his fan is hiding his head and blocking his vision. Shoot him right through the fan, just above the root of his tail. This will put your arrow through his back and into his vitals.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know about that, but I was thinking it would be perfect for Mikey.    :biglaugh:

Hey, I have some cinder blocks, studs and plywood, think it might work instead.  We could make it big enough...

I tried something like that once. The problem was that the windows were higher as well. So to shoot through them I had to raise the bow higher and still had the same problem.

If you got that blind at Gander Mountain I know they will exchange it !

They have exchanged one-year-old noticeably used double bull blind.  Their policy is satisfied the customer !  If you got it has a gift, they will exchange it or give you credit towards another one.

I also vote for the Gilley suit, it's a great option.

Although I do hunt in the dark horse, but I do like not using it also as much

I've shot a bunch of turkeys from Double Bull blinds as well.  Right now I have two Matrix recurves models.

Actually, hunting out of a hole is very effective. The human form is not visible, and perceived movement is close to the ground, generally a curiosity as opposed to a threat. A small woodlot close to home has an uprooted blow down that left quite a depression. It's been an effective blind for me when not filled with water.

Brent PM me if you want to use my penthouse blind, I have a DB 360 that I'll be using myself.

Ever tried to dig a hole in west Texas? Better have some heavy equipment with ya. If you know where the blind was purchased chances are they will exchange it for a larger size. Especially if it is one of the big box retailers.

Oh man, now you've done it.... Honey, I need to return the gift you got me..... enjoy the couch!

Well, the kids get a new play-tent, and you get to think outside the box, Brent!
