I have been searching for sometime for a quality fletching voer to use on my bow. I would like one made from ASAT and can not find a dealer anywhere who has one. Anyone out here know where or who I can go to to get one? Also if I have to have one custom made what is the best material to use?

I heard of guys cutting pant legs off a pair of camo pants. Should work!!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

Mine isn't ASAT, but Predator Brown is pretty good camo.  I had Jeff at Gray Wolf Woolens (sponsor) make it up for me out of his wolfskin.  He just put in a couple of metal grommets on the corners and I attach it with some shock cord and "S" hooks.

Get in touch with Terry Green - I can't remember who's he has (was in a post quite a bit of time back), but it seems a good one (open bottom).

The guy that I use to buy mine from fell off the face of the earth I recon...and he made the best one's I've ever used....with a bendable wire to shape from Boa to Great Northers...and an open bottom for ease of removal.  If you own one with a sealed bottom you'll know what i mean.

Anyhow, Rod Jenkins is fixing to start making them...soon as I get him the diamentions for a smaller version for the new smaller bow quivers like the Eagles Flight.

What Terry said...I got 2 myself. Bob Morrison used to sell them, I believe they came from the guy that owns arrow-shield.com.

Terry, that's good news that Rod will make them, love mine but it's gettin a bit long in the tooth.

My wife makes them, but she's only made them for me.  She takes medium green fleece material, and she's sews in a drawstring, and I tie it where I want it, works out great, I take a dark marker and make my branch camouflage on the fleece material.

She made me a wonderful bow case it looks like leather on the outside and it has lambs wool on the inside.

Now that I have recurve, she will have a new challenge.

Got mine from Greg Debour Maverick Outfitters.  The web site that JC posted.  I don't know if he is still making them.

I too am looking for a better mouse trap. JC or Terry could you post a pic....Clay Patton in S. Ga had a unique design where he used Gatorboard..wished I had bought one of those..
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

I am surprised that this is not a readily available item. I too have been looking for one.

I finally went to Walmart and bought a piece of camo material and took it home and cut it and handstitched it. I sewed in a drawcord with some of those spring loaded clips on it. It works pretty well. I can cinch it down to protect the fletches in brush and loosen it up in the tree stand in case I need a quick second arrow.
I wanted some fleece material but couldn't find what I wanted locally.

It is (through 3-Rivers) - as for the fleece that many have commented that they want, it is noisy as all heck to get feathers out of...... might be a quiet cover, but not inside.....

I'm on the hunt for the right materials to make the fletch covers...we've made a few prototypes to work out the bugs and will have them on the website and ready to go as soon as I get the right combination of materials, fit and function.

Do ya'll think being water repellant is a must have in a fletch cover?

That's one of the things I like about mine Rod. It's nice to be able to sit on stand and not worry about the feathers getting soaked.

The Wolfskin fabric is soft, quiet, and water resistant.  Like the comment on fleece though, the material doesn't stop the noise when removing arrows.  That comes more from the feathers rubbing against each other I think.

Glad to see you pick this one up and run with it!

Hey Joe!

Yeah, I know a little drizzel will sure make a mess of your feathers and I'm sure not calling it a day because of a wet stuff  :D

I enjoyed shooting with you and Bob up in WI...but next time, I'm keeping score !  :biglaugh:

I made one out of an old turkey hunting face net. I works fine. DB

The one I use is NOT noisy on the feathers....it has a bendable wire up to to shape the upper hole...and something like weed eater line in the bottom hole that keeps it pretty round like a hoop.....the bottom is open.  Big difference that one that has a closed bottom as far as ease of removal and noise.

AND, I always hide arrow #2 on the back side for speed and complete silence....I'll post a pic in a jiffy....

Same thing here.....#2 is not visible, but is handy for a quick 2nd shot if need be.
