Has anyone ever put on snakes other then the regulars, Diamondback, Canes, or Copperhead. Like King, or Milk or big Garters. Just thinking of going on a snake hunt!

I'm gonna try a pair of mud snake skins on my new bow.  The bow is burgundy rosewood Dymondwood with black glass limbs, and the mud snake skins are black with red flecks.

I have one roadkilled milk in the freezer, just waiting for another.
I have also thought about using the northern watersnake skins. They are similar to copperheads. On the skineez website, they are the unknown snake.
I have issues killing snakes, so I will only use the roadkilled stuff.

I have a bow that is getting the finishing coats of Tung oil on it now that has a corn snake.  My boy raised this snake from an egg.  It is a beautiful skin, I will have my wife take a picture tomorrow and post it.

Terry, A couple of skins like that woud look good on a donated St.Judes bow.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Hey Walt, that self bow you donated to PBS, with the Python skin, was as good as it gets. Skyler has been looking for some every since then, with no luck. Don and Skyler

DW - I believe that is a Lampropeltis getula or Common Kingsnake.
Younger money, faster whiskey, older women and more horses.....or something like that..

I would like to see a picture or two of a bow backed with some Mojave Green skins if anyone has one. I know that look very similar to diamondbacks but they  can have very unique color.

Thanks,
Jon

I put on garters once...I was arrested.

I have half a dozen or so very pretty exotic snake skins I'll sell. $30-$40. Several nicely patterned brown mangroves, a tiger snake from Indonesia, etc. Send me an email for pix.

Bjorn

Droptine, if you have pics please post them on 'our secret spot' so the mods don't get 'em!
