Does anyone have chrono numbers on an assenheimer compared to other reputable bows? Some have said the newer assenheimers are very quick while others have commented that they are not necessarily slow, but not all that fast either?

Most important is they are real quiet.

Dave is right. I don't have any experience with a newer Assenheimer but I had on a while back and it was a great shooting and very, very quiet shooting recurve. If I had a choise, I would take a quiet bow that I can shoot well over a really fast loud bow that is hard to shoot. When you find a bow that is fast and quiet (harder to find then one may think) and you are consistant with it, that is your Zen bow. Speed isn't everything, just one consideration in my book.

I've never seen an animal that cared how fast an arrow missed them.     :readit:    :jumper:

I have a newer Assenheimer.  Mine has the bamboo cores.  62", 55 at 28.  Have not cronoed the bow, but it seem a little slower than my Morrison of the same weight.  The bow is very stable, very quiet.

I don't care about a couple of FPS, but I won't own a slow bow either. Irish-how much slower do you think the assenheimer is compared to the morrison?

Without running them through a crono, I don't know the numbers.  At the range I shoot, it does not make a difference.  A very stable, quiet bow, that I love to shoot.
