The bow is 48@29 60 inch Palmer Classic-I have played with brace height and string silencers-dipped the ends of the string in laquer thinner (helped a lot), but still too loud for my liking. Current brace is 7.5 with puff silencers and 4/8 nock height. Considering trying some limb savers as well. String is 12 strand D97 with padded loops from Chad Weaver. Arrow is 490 grain GT 3555 total (front loaded with 50 grain brass insert and 150 grain woodsman).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions for improvement!

BD,

I shot a Palmer single carbon and it was dead quiet at a brace height of 8". Might try that.

Check this thread out, it has some very good tips.

Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

string change, heavier arrow, higher brace height are just a few that come to mind.

if you want to add some stuff theres felt on the limb tips, brush buttons, extra slincers.

BD,

Try a 12 strand TS-1 endless loop string. Found this by accident when learning to make strings. Made my double carbon 52@28 go dead quiet.

Where are your silencers positioned? You might try moving them outboard a little more. This worked well for me.

Bow hush, higher brace height and tweak the string silencers some.
