"In the joy of hunting is intimately woven the love of the great outdoors. The beauty of woods, valleys, mountains, and skies feeds the soul of the sportsman where the quest of game only whets his appetite." ~ Saxton Pope

Mucks,  they fit big american feet lol...Lacrosse are smaller and not wide enough...Lacrosse can be so tight , I once thought they werent coming off and there not big enough around my legs...  :)

I bought a pair of Cabelas 2000 gram rubber boota s few years ago. With a pair of wool socks thay are pretty warm. I only wera them when it gets really cold or I am going to be sittin on stand a while.

Muck woody max, easiest boot I've seen for on and off. Neopreme folds down to make a shorter boot for indoors and removal. I use wool socks and a chemical foot warmer when it is cold.

Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

Muck Woody Max!!!  Will not sweat your feet as bad as the Lacrosse and with the right socks, I've worn them on stand in Minnesota in December with no problems.  Very comfortable for walking in and light too.

Muck Boot Woody Armors, have to be more concerned about the snakes than the cold down here! All of the Muck boots are very comfortable, that's all I own any more.
Hunt hard,but have fun!

Extra Tuffs without a doubt...go to Alaska and you'll see nothing else. People live in these things and they last forever. Get some "superfeet" braced insoles to put in for arch support and wear thick socks when it starts getting cold.

If you really want to get hardcore in the cold, get some "bunny boots" from your local military surplus.
All truly great thoughts are  conceived while walking.

Wore Burly's for years. Bought a pair of Mucks 3 years ago and I wouldn't have any other boot. The lightest, most comfortable boot I've ever worn!!

Over the last 4 years I have blown through a pair of Cabelas 800 gram DuraTrax and LaCrosse 800 gram Alphas. Looks like I might have to try the Muck boots.
I'm really thinking about going back to regular hiking boots. Not full leather though. I do too much tree climbing and stalking which destroys my rubber boots. I think if I got something decent and kept them as clean as my clothes, I'll have no problem with scent. Now if I have a real nasty area to walk through,I would like some rubber boots for those spots.
Just one more step please!

I spend more time in rubber boots hunting, fishing, and working than in any other footwear.
Here in Quebec a brand of boot named " Acton "is the most popular.
They offer several models of uninsulated and insulated boots as well as waders.

For cold weather I use the "explorer" model that has a removable felt/polypropolene liner
I have two sets of liners that I alternate
The boots are reasonably priced, not heavy and for what I use them for, durable
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

I never really bought the "expensive" rubber boots.

What I have ALWAYS done though, was buy my boots one size bigger, and wear either 1 or 2 pairs(depending on the weather)of good WOOL (like at LEAST 80%) socks on my feet directly against my skin. Many people do not know that the real secret to wearing wool to keep warm,it to wear the wool directly against the skin.

I've hunted in -0 degree weather with rubber boots and 2 pair of wool socks without my feet getting cold.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!
