I was visiting with a guy here the other day and he mentioned he had a bow he wanted to sell, when I asked what kind it was he said it was a Robertson, a Robertson Montana T/D Recurve. I had never heard of the Montana so I asked to take a look at it and sure enough thats what it is. I'm interested in buying it but I'm not sure what the value is, he is asking 450.00 for it. Its in good condition a few small scratches here and there but nothing that a good hunting tool shouldn't have. I went to the Robertson web site but couldn't find any information.

Does anyone have any further information on this model? Is it fast flight tolerant? Maybe some of you have pics of other Robertson Montana's. Is it worth what he is asking for it?

Looking forward to hearing more about these bows.

Hmmm... I know there is a Bear Montana longbow that brand new I think they sell for about $300.00 from 3 Rivers Archery.

I've heard of a Robertson Montana Falcon, Dave Pagel has one for sale in the classifieds. Icant tell you the age, but Dicks older recurves (like this one)are not usually FF tolerant.

Give Robertson a call and I'm sure they will answer your questions.

Yes, Montana Falcon is a Robertson bow and a favorite of writer Don Thomas.  I had one a couple years ago that was dacron string only and sold it for $350.

I believe his Vision series replaced the Montana series...but don't hold me to that.  :o

Do a Pow Wow search on Montana Falcon and there are several threads with pics of them in them.

Well after some careful consideration I went ahead and bought it. And yes it was a Montana Falcon. Great shooting bow, I'll try to get some pics of it up tomorrow.
