In 1955 she and Earl sold me a bow, arrows for fifteen cents and a Bear Quiver for  seventy-five cents.  For a kid, that was high living. she also allowed me to shoot on their bales!
I took my son through St Loius a few years back and knocked on her door to say hello.  Grand lady with class of her own

I hate to hear of her passing. Used to talk to her occasionally when she was running the office at Sky Archery. Great lady, Great archer. The archery world will sure miss her.

I have a one of a kind Sky Trophy longbow with her signature on it.  Now it's that much more special to me.  God speed Ann, we all know Earl will be happy to see you again.

Thanks for posting this. Ann and Earls hole life revolved around archery. Like was said earlier another good one has gone to her reward.

I met the Hoyts a number of years ago. hey were both very nice people.

It is sad, Ann and Earl will both be missed.  We are losing many of the real "Pioneers", fathers and mothers of what we call "Traditional Bowhunting.  It causes me great sorry and measured concern for where we might be heading.

The founders, of which Ann & Earl were considered,  had a vision, that I am not sure has been realized yet.  

While it is easy to point to one, or several persons to light the way it is important for each and everyone of us to respect what they have done, and protect that which they have built.  Not for ourselves, but for those who will come after us.  

Let us take up the banner, teach the link between the beginning, and the now.  Encourage others to learn about the history, we will all be the better for it.  We are gonna miss you Ann!

The greatest tribute to those who have carried the torch ahead for us is to carry the torch ahead for others.  Ann and Earl Hoyt, Fred Bear, Ben Pearson, Howard Hill, and so many others shaped the destiny of archery in our country and around the world by being torch bearers for our present generation. Now the torch passes to us.  May we carry it with the same sense of joy, dedication, and passion that they did.

Ann will be missed not only by those who were close to her, all you had to do was to be around her for an hour and you'd feel like you were a lifelong friend.
I was blessed with the chance to shoot with both Ann and Earl at the 1st Show-me State Games, it was a humbling experience. Both were lovely, generous people.

I consider myself lucky to have met Ann. This was over a decade ago at a Deer Expo. She was kind and took time to chat about the original Hoyt Archery company.
I was in the room when Ken Beck (owner of Black Widow) told the speaker that Earl Hoyt Jr. was his archery hero.
Many times when I pick up my Pro Medalist Hunter I thank the Hoyt's for helping to make Archery what is it today.
What a great legacy to leave.

My first "new" bow was a Sky Archery Rogue;  I was living in St Louis, and just "stopped by" the plant in Bridgeton to pick out the bow.  It just happened that Mr and Mrs Hoyt were in the plant that day, and I was able to meet them.  A real "High Point" in my life....
