Jim Gainey created me a new bow. I met Jim at John's Sipsey River set up at TBOF's Florida State shoot in March. We takled about what I wanted and here is the result, and in less than 4 weeks.

MossyOak, Jim sure builds a great bow. I love my Banshee. It too is a 58 inch bow but with a draw weight of 42 lbs@28. I could not be happier with the service I got, not from just Jim Gainey but also John at Sipsey River

I just received my new Black Creek Banshee longbow with East Indian Rosewood riser and Bird's Eye Maple limbs. I think this is the most beautiful bow I've ever seen, and shoots just as pretty! The workmanship is flawless. (I have 10 longbows and I think this will be my favorite.) Plus the cost was really great. Jim Gainey (Black Creek Bows 205-272-265 SwampMaster2@ATT.net)helped me pick out the woods and it only took 4 weeks to build it. Cost was $470 including shipping ($450 + $20 shipping.) I don't know if his prices are going to stay that low for long. I was his first Western U.S. customer, so you Westerners, take note of this new great bowyer.

Jim is a friend of mine and an all around nice guy.The bows are plenty fast,easy to point and very stable.The mens winner of the Howard Hill top scores competition for a HH bow was shooting a Banshee.

One of my favorite memories of ATAR last year was when Brent Rudolph went over to Sipsey River's booth and came back with a lightweight Banshee. He let me try it (me a right-hander and he a southpaw...). I shot it left handed and was amazed at how those few 30-some pounds of draw spat the arrow with such speed. Smooth draw and a natural pointer, Brent was right! Good bows!

Can't find any website for them though, anyone know if they're still being made?

I owned one of those little speedsters some years back. Can't remember for the life of me why I sold it, other than I probably wanted to try something new and needed the cash. Definitely a sweet shooting bow and lacks nothing in the looks department either.

Jim shut down his operation a few seasons back due to personal reasons.  He was reluctant to do so but sometimes in life one is forced to strike out on a new path.  Perhaps one day Jim will start up again?  His bows were unique, excellent shooting, and quality built.
