What is your opinion of skin-eez limb skins? Are they still in business? Thanks
Brian

Just put a set over some carbon limbs. They look good but are very shiny. I'm not sure if I'll keep them on for hunting or not. Easy to put on, anyway.
Is it September yet?!

Skin-Eez and Arrow Wraps unlimited is still going strong. I talked to Adam this weekend and he's busy as a one-armed paper hanger. I have the Skin-Eez on three bows and like 'em, especially the Canebrakes.

I haven't seen or tried the ones from Onestringer. I know Adam and count him as a friend, plus I like to buy mine from the guy who came up with the idea for them and the arrow wraps. Some folks don't like the texture of artificial skins. There is a difference in how they look, especially up close, but call Morrison and get a price for a set of real skins on your limbs. A fellow could go through a lot of Skin-Eez for the cost of one real set. PLus, if you change your mind or want to sell the bow, they come right off.

I have experimented with some of the satin poly finishes on my Skin-Eez and it seems to work at dulling the finish a bit.

I like mine, have purchased some from both places, will now purchase my wraps and faux skins(when I use them/I still perfer to dip or airbrush)from onestringer.  I like the ten inch wraps better than the others for the arrows(just wish I could get some one inch longer, oh well)anyway great product(skins) at a great price that really makes a bow look good!

Scott, please elaborate on the satin finishes for dulling the skin-eze. I'd love to try that.

Are the prices on the site for a pair of skins or a single skin?

A pair. I think it was about $25 for a bow.

Onestringer (Scott and Mindy) were very helpful. They helped me design a set with our hunt club logo and it really looks neat.

Bowfiend,

I had been looking for a satin finish that would replace the "frost" finish that Black Widow had on my SAV Ironwood.

I went to the hardware store and picked up about five cans of various satin finishes, semi gloss, flat and so forth.  I picked up a can of this off brand satin clear poly, I used it on the riser section and was pleased, I decided that since the Eze Skin was a little shinny, I would try a few things.  I used fine steel wool to just dull the finish a litte.  This worked pretty well, but I had to be careful not to remove the graphics.

That worked on one limb, so I decided to use the satin spay poly on the other limb, when I sprayed it, and allowed it to dry in the breeze outside it dulled nicely.

I had some of the wrap left over after triming, I suggest you experiement between the poly and other finishes to get the best effect. Use the extra first and pick the one  you like best.  I am pleased...

Anyone know if one is less shiny than the other?
