I recently purchased a 54", 50# @28, Arroyo.  I draw it about 30 inches and shoot 70/75 full length wood arrows.  I am have not yet found the right height to set my nock point.  It is at 5/8 now and I have gone from 1/8 to 5/8 in 1/8 increments.

How did those of you with 54" Arroyos set yours up?

By the way, great bow.  Quite, no hand shock, seems fast and shoots good (with proper operator cooperation).

Don't know what to suggest, but a bow that short drawn to 30 inches is going to be very sensitive to release errors and difficult to shoot consistently.

With them woods I'd go to 3/4" and then down if you need to. That bow should be fine with that draw length since the staic tips make it seem like a longer bow. where is your brace set at? The 54" Arroyo should be set at 7 5/8" or slightly above.

Thanks Golden.  Before I read your post, I moved up to 3/4 and it shot much better.  The brace was a hair or two under 7 5/8.  Need to check again, as I put on a new string.

I shot woodies with my 54" Arroyo at those exact settings, 3/4" nock and 7 5/8 brace. Just changed to some skinny Beman MFX Carbons and had to lower the nock a bit.

Nothing you can do to fix that bow, won't shoot no matter what.  I'll make you a reasonable price to help you out   :goldtooth:
Do or do not ... there is no "try"
