I was curious as to how many here may have also been members of the Fred Bear Sports Club back in the day?

I was as well, I also took these pictures of an old pillow case in a cabin last fall at Bears paw landing near Wapigoon Ontario with the fred bears sportsman club hand written on it and quite a few signatures under that. There hard to read but if you look close you may recognize one or two!

I still have my patches and chevrons.  I think I was charter member, number 8023.

I still have my certificate that was signed by Fred and Dick Lattimer.  My membership patch is attached to the back of my Bisongear Elk pack!

I found an old newsletter from the FBSC in one of my hunting books the other day. I have an arrow case with the decal still on it.

Tried a very costly attempt at bringing the club back recently with a partner. Not only did I receive a letter of cease and desist, but Bear also went after my company name.  We were trying to keep Fred's memory alive and promote archery. I had to sign a settlement today even after agreeing to give up the club basicly making my small archery business void from further sales of archery equipment to avoid law suits. I feel sad for those who were once members and those who may have been potentially turned on to archery through club promotions in the sport. It's a shame that members were abandoned in 2003, and realization that the club will never be again.

I think I was a member.

seems like we shot a weekly league match.  If you got reckless you could end up with a negative score.
