Well I received my Bob Lee 56" to use in my blind, but I think this handy bow, will do a little more than that.  I just got it in the mail last night, I haven't shot it     :knothead:    , and I probably won't get the chance until this weekend.  I'd like to say it is nothing special, it doesn't have the fancy woods, it doesn't have any color except for Brown's in it.

But do you think the " game " is going to complain !!!!!!    :bigsmyl:

It may look like a "plain Jane" but I think it's got the functions like a " Sassy Susan " Sharp and straight to the point !

Here is what she looks like, Why are all bows called she, most of them are made out of wood, sounds like most guys I know " hardheads"    :biglaugh:

I was told it was the first Bob Lee with deer prints on it, but to me there definitely look like Elk, and I think

" Sassy Susan " would do the job for that.

I have a eagle flight quiver also coming for it, that also has Elk print on it.  Rob,(his son) at Bob Lee was really helpful, gave me information on how to set the bow up, and told me some information about how he is shooting his, also gave me some recommendations from others on some optional equipment for it.  Like shooting off the shelf vs shooting off of an elevated arrow rest.  Don't know if I will or not, but it is a very friendly group to work with.

Just like women sometimes those plain ones will fool ya !
Great bow,it looks like a killer to me. Carl did you fletch the arrows. There is alot more room between the nocks and fletch on those arrow. Is there a reason or is it personal preference ?

Nice bow, cool pics.. Let us know how it shoots, I'm thinking about getting a shorty myself.

The fletching can be used for a reference point, mine is my nose, it is another way of achieving a consistent anchoring point, knuckle of the thum, jaw bone, and feathers touching your nose.  It just works for me.

It is a tip from Rick Welsch " instructional DVD on hunting" I think its volume two.  It's really a great DVD.  I also have both versions " Master of the LongBow"

And I think it's going to be a great bow, by the way, yes I did do the fletching myself.  I haven't finished with them yet I still have red in white to put on the arrows.  And I'm going to take a meltdown some pallets, make them the size of my axis shaft, and wt. the front and with 40 more gr.  To give me a arrow wt. of 440 gr.

The best thing to do is to call up Rob or Bob at Bob Lee archery, they'll make sure you get the right one, they ask a few questions about your draw length how you shoot, three finger under, split, and they will make sure you get the right bow.  There are the first bow maker to say;

" if you don't like the bow, send it back to us"

Rob, was more than helpful on trying to get me the right bow, and he gave me individual names to talk to make sure my bow was set up right.

So just give them a call, they've got an 800, so it's not going to cost you anything, unless of course you search long enough,  " and the bug bites ya"

I like the plain ones myself, nothing fancy just a good all around bow that will get the job done right.

I really like Lee bows....all of em! I bought a micarta/actionwood combo TD off Tippit a while back and really regret letting that bow go. I think Lee has one of the best grips on the market and are well made bows. Enjoy your shorty! I'm sure it will take care of business.

I too have a Lee and for some reason think the simple deadly look to them is more appealing than other exotic wood bows.  With Lee's you don't have to twist your brain for weeks trying the find the perfect riser wood combination that in essence means nothing much to performance.  Good luck with 'er.
