Does anybody have a 56" Morrison Shawnee? Any feedback? Any pics?? Specifically a side profile braced and one unstrung.

JC has a nice one with the carbon foam cored limbs.  It is sweet.
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Here ya go,

Great bow. Mine is 62#@28". I draw 29". I shoot it very well and feel no finger pinch. It is fast and smooth as butter. You will not go wrong with any of Bob's bows. I also have a Shawnee with recurve limbs that is a 58" bow.

Only bow I shoot anymore...

Best bow I've ever shot, period. Come on over and shoot it.

JC is that a special order on the grip design? It looks different somehow, or maybe its just me and my bad eyes.

I should have said Shawnee Dakota. Thats what I was looking for JC thanks. JC what is your draw length? Would the 56" be a smooth draw for my 27" draw?

Very nice bow Danny!!

I am pondering saving up for a used riser and then sitting on it while I save to get some limbs built with some AWESOME Osage Veneers I got from KennyM. Here is a pic of the veneers. The ones on the left would be for the back and the right ones for the belly.

Rick, that's Bob's low/medium grip with finger grooves. On the straight riser of the Shawnee, I've found it's "the" grip for me.

Lewis, I draw 27"...guys with 28 have had no issue with the 56" length. Pretty wood. For me, after experiencing the shooting characteristics and performance of the carbon/foam limbs, I wouldn't add a thing (wood or skins) that could potentially change either of those.

JC,

What did you use to make the EFA quiver work with your bow?

Mine should be here anytime now. After talking with Bob I went with the 58" instead of the 56".

The sister to my riser just should up on the site. Texas Ebony and Osage.

To say the least I am pretty fired up right now.

Lewis Brookshire III

Chris, I saw that Osage and Ebony riser last night. Man that thing is AWESOME!!

Chris, I drilled and tapped the interior of the limb bolts. You use the allen to tighten the main bolt, put the quiver on the riser, bolt it down with the bolts that go into the limb bolt. I did have to dig up a couple of spacers to get it right but it works like a charm, gives a very stable quiver, and is riser mounted so does not effect the limbs at all. Best way I've found to do it so far.

Joe,

I will give you a holler once I am ready to put a quiver on it. Still have quite a bit of time left before I will be huntin again.

Also thanks for the info on the Conqueror Camp.

Danny and JC,
Something's wrong with those risers...I just can't put my finger on it.  Doh!  Cones, man.  Pinecones rule.
