Stretch, they're roller skates. It'll help him zoom around his shop and get more done. It's all about efficiency.... or body casts... or stitches. it could be about stitches.
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

David those are some really nice looking tips.

Roy from Pa

I'm working on building my own CNC router.  There are things that I need to cut that a computer will be able to do better and faster than me.  Once I have this robot working I'll have more free time to learn how to make bows!

They are essentially rollerskate bearings mounted to aluminum.  They will roll on aluminum guides.

Brian, you are earning your tag name for sure!

David - I really like that antler tip on the yew.  What did you use between the antler and the wood?   Thanks!
It's a thin piece of cow horn. Thanks.

Stan I've never had the need to get it that hot. I can keep it half full and keep me shop at 80! That's when its in the teens outside. It sure is a life saver. Plus my neighbor gives me oak pallets that have 4x4s and 2x4s that break apart nicely. Just have to watch where I dump the ashes.

I pulled some projects from the hotbox last night and I clearly need to get more going.

I was busy the last few days. Have to build two bows for some friends. Started with glueing up the first one...

Thanks again Kenny for those awesome looking lams. You're the man. Better not put that bow on the ground in autumn, or you might have some troubles to find it...

Then it was time for the second one...

While it was curing i worked on the other one...

This is where I am now. The one on top I glued up in December...

Well I had a "visitor" arrive today from down around Oklahoma, "he's" origanally from Hawaii.

His name is Trav, he is a longbow that some good folks decided to send my way for a while to let this newbie get his feet wet and have "toy" to play with for a while  :notworthy:

This is one of the most awsome things i have ever heard of, someone loaning someone a bow to let them try out the sport. Talk about AWSOME PR for the sport of Traditional Archery.

It is no wonder everyone always comments how much like abig family the trad crowd is, so true.

I will have this to try out for at least a month or so, depends on if others chime in am sign up, if not he gets to stay longer. I am fine with no one siging up till say June, then I could take him Turkey hunting before he has to go play somewhere else.

I will have to take a few pics and measurements, his builder says he will send me the drawings and help talk me through building a twin if I like him.

Well gotta get my homework done, as I am playing hooky tommarrow to go protest all this nonsense the Goverment is trying to shove down our throats. Gonna go call on my reps and legislators, congresmen and govenor tommarrow at the capitol with a bunch of friends.
About time we remind them who they "work" for.

Later guys,

Kevin

What did I do today?...

Worked on a BBO today that is going to a little drummer boy in Michigan:) Had some problems the other day with it, decided to back off, think about it and regroup, did a minor/major adjustment to get her back to normal yesterday and today. It has a 6 inch brace height and a 1/16th positive tiller right now, want to get it to 1/8th positive tiller, which is where my bows seem to shoot the best. LOL - it was 1/4 negative tiller a few days ago, made me sick. Not looking too shabby now and it needs to shed a few pounds cause them boys from Michigan hain't all that strong:)

Just a tad stiff right here, what's ya all think?

kennym
