I got to shoot my first snakey Osage bow today. I finished it up yesterday afternoon, and today I was super happy with how it shoots.

Well I went turkey hunting and had an old beat tom come that looked like he got into a fight with a ticked off badger. Tail feathers and primaries missing one wing dragging.   The joker didnt like my set up too well so at 25 yards he started to turn and get out of dodge so I decided it was now or never.   A clean miss just barely over him at 25 yards.  Lost my arrow and my broadhead.

Decided I better get home and get my swap bow glued up.  So thats what I did.   It's going to be a green bow.

Glued up some rawhide backing on a self bow, repaired two arrows with bad fletchings and then decided to get ready for bow fishing this summer.

Homegrown camo canoe. I bought the tree bark stencil and the wife drew and cutout the other stencils. Thank you honey!!!
Lightly sanded and then Krylon Fusion paint for plastic. Hope it lasts for a few years?

Great camo job on your canoe Joe.
Park it next to a reedy shore and the ducks'll never see you.
I finished off two jobs in the garage today and found time to create a hinge on my plan D bow.   :banghead:
Fortunately, it can lose a bit of weight still, so I'll carefully remove wood and hopefully save the bow.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

Looking forward to seeing that one complete Tracy.

Started to clean up some overlays on a bow I'm helping a buddy build and glued up a bow for me.  Nothing fancy, chechen riser with elm limbs under clear glass.

Spent the weekend with Chris, his son, and my boys burning fields, cutting grass, planting food plots, and running chain saws at the farm.  Got the place looking pretty good. We didn't get anymore osage though which bums me out. I guess the pile I have will have to work.

Tracy, you always leave the boo that thick? Just curious, looks to be about 1/4 inch.

Worked on the trade bows a little more. This one is the snake backed Cascara at first bracing.

I tried to straighten some billets I somehow got out of alignment when I fit them to the sleeves. The tee shirt is wrapped around the reflector and wood to hold the heat in during the bend.

I also played that frustrating game of pulling mismatched junk billets out of my reject pile, trying to match a couple and thinking "what can I make with these". Everything went back in my reject pile for later consideration.
