I bet that makes a great form the leaf springs.

Today, I took two bows outta the forms, glued up 3 more, I had to stop work for 2 hours so I could be available for the USP guy, he was delivering me an engine for my wife's Saturn.  Answered a bunch of e-mails.

I got five beautiful bows in the mail today... Well the potential for five beautiful bows.  Lams, glass and risers from Kenny, and a couple sets of boo and ipe from tenbrook.  Thanks you two! Guess I'll be spending some time in the shop for awhile!

Eric, with a mentor like you, he'll be building and shooting with the best of them.  Sure don't find many young men that age that show that much respect....Dan

I try not to eat anything that looks the same the next time I see it, but that does look good.  :biglaugh:

Pretty cool Eric.  Keep us posted on his progress.

I went to town on a stave I split out of a large Osage stave I had. It turned out to be narrow limbed, 7/8" wide 61" NtN and 55 at 27". I will shoot it tomorow afternoon and do some final adjustments to the tiller afterwards, then slap on some urethane.

Spent too much money and time looking around at the woodcrafters store.   But I did get some really neat tip material for my bow swap bow.   Bought some more clamps.   (cant seem to ever have enough)   went back and forth on a beautiful piece of olive wood. Decided I didnt need it.

Called and left message with KennyM I'm wanting some tulip veneers.

Had a fun day today. Had surgery on a tooth that's been giving me problems ever since the root canal 3 weeks ago. Turns out the end of the root was cracked, Dentist said that was the cause of all the pain. Been a long time without beer, gotta wait another few days though....

k-hat

Ouch Roy.  I've had the root canal and that's enough on it's own, sorry for your pain. Hope this op fixed it!

I went to town today on my to-do list.

*cut, split, and partially shaped a chunk of hackberry into rough handle shape (hoping to replace my sledgehammer handle that went to pieces)

*went to an OOOOLLLDDD fencepost i found in the neighborhood last year to cut an end off and see what it was, thought maybe i could use it for a spatula handle for the wife:

here's what i found . . .

Well now, I guess y'all know what's in my future now!!  I think i've got a pair of narrow billets somewhere in there i can splice together for a 60" bow!!!   :D    :D    :D    :D

As for the rest of the to-do list . . . .

I got in a cooking mood. I cooked fried deer liver in an onion-mushroom gravy, Kentucky Wonder pole beans out of the garden(canned), Golden Queen corn out of the garden, vacuum sealed from last year, collard greens fresh out of the garden and wild rice from the store.

This type of meal is what I call "real food", nothing like can be found at any restaurant at any price.

I should have taken a picture.

Man Eric, all your missin is the buttermilk cornbread!   ;)     You're makin me hungry . . .
