I was wondering if anyone knew the proper brace ht range for a Fedora Xtreme hybrid? It's a 64" with a 14" riser, if that has any effect.

TIA

Mike reccomends 6 3/4 to the back of the shelf.  Mine was very quiet at 7 3/4 to 8 to the deepest part of the grip.  Mine was the same specs and smoking fast and quiet.  The grip just didn't agree with me.
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I just got one in trade and it shoots well, but it's not real quiet, IMO.

I switched the string out to a 14 strand dynaflight.  That string with hushpuppies was whisper quiet.  I think those endless loop stings they send with their bows are not that great.

I took the brace up to 8" from the throat of the grip, a little at a time. That made it quiet with the 52# limbs, but it's still noisy with the 59# set. Arrows are 620gr and 800gr, so that shouldn't be an issue. I may get a Dacron flemish made for it and see what that does. Otherwise, it's fast and shoots good.

Just remembered I had a 64" flatbow with a flemish string. Put it on the Fedora, played with the tuning a bit and presto! No more noise. Now it's quiet and still as fast as before, near as I can tell. Groups better, too. Now I just need to order a couple of strings and I'll be ready for 3D season.

Thanks Hatchmaster for the advice

Does anyone know if the Xtremes are crafted for fastflight string? The one I have doesn't have the beefed up tips like you see on most bows capable of handling fastflight. The bow came with an endless loop string and I'm not sure what it is. I emailed Fedora but never received a reply. Maybe the email addy is old. Thanks.

The SBD string on the Xtreme I have has made the bow very silent. Braced at 6 3/4.
