UPS is supposed to deliver my new PAX Black Widow tomorrow.  Of course I cannot wait!!!  It will be Kingwood with the Asbell grip.  I will post pics up as soon as possible.

Some questions for you widow guys:  How well does the side-mount quiver work on these bows?  I got the bushings installed so that I can use a Thunderhorn Sidewinder quiver.  Are these quiet and do they stay put?

Thanks!

I too have a PSAX in KIngWood, with the asbel grip too! I use the Blackwidow 5/7 quiver and its the best quiver IMHO, strong and no movement at all.

Injoy your new bow mate, put up the pics after playing.

I really like the side mount thunderhorn quiver.  I had it on the past 3 Widow takedowns I've owned.  It was very solid, quiet and unfortunately heavy.  I shoot with no quiver on the bow now.  That said, the weight may be a very nice addition to the one piece which I'm sure is a bit lighter than the takedowns.  Make sure you get some pics on here ASAP...Mike

First impressions:

The grip is awesome as I expected. The PTF that I demo'd was the same.  The Asbell grip really fits my hand well.

Shooting is great.  It was really windy out in the field next to my house, so I couldn't do too much testing.  All in all, shot really well.

Noise-Here is where things get tricky.  I tried my normal yarn puffballs, but the bow was still loud.  Put on 2 spiders and two puffballs.  Got much better.  I am still not quite satisfied with the noise level.  Plenty of time to tinker with that.  I have only owned the bow for about 4 hours now.

Even if my shooting is awful, at least I have a pretty bow!!

Put a quiver full of arrows on it and it will quiet down considerably.
