I've been watching his first season of Easton Reality Bowhunting and in the episode where Fred is hunting whitetails in Illinois he is asking if anyone at the lodge can identify the leaf that the does were eating that day. I've been on a mission to find out myself and I think it is from a basswood tree. Does anyone else have an opinion? I am fasinated by deer behavior.

Guess I'll have to find the DVD first.  I don't see many (any?) wild basswoods in the places I hunt.

I can't say that I have ever seen any around here either, and it is suppose to be common in my area also.
