(one more time)
Looking for some feedback for aluminums.

62" BW MAV, 63@29, drawing 29.5 ....30 on a good day  ;)
Would like to be in a 145gr head.

Will post some observations after a post or two.

Thanks

Arrow cut 30" or 30.25". 2117, 2216, 2219.

I have never shot a 2020, so I'm not sure if it would work.

Well, I've been trying to work some 2219's because I like the thicker wall sections.
Still a little wiggle on them, cut a little short at 30".

Tried some 2117's and was pleasantly suprised. But....they are too light adn too thin for my liking.

Have some 2020's I might try. really liked those out of my longbow....  also will try some longer 2219's

2020 They are great arrows,, give'em a try but the above shafts should work fine for ya,,J

I'd vote for the 2219's.  I've got an SAIII that's 55# @ 29 and I pull it every inch of that.  A 30.25 inch 2219 is the only arrow I've found that's stiff enough to work with a 125 head.  2020 didn't even come close.  In fact a 2020 won't even fly out of my SAIII that's 48# @ 29 inches.

Best way to determine is to bareshaft em.

Another vote for the 2219. cut to 31's at least, if not a bit longer. Go to  www.arrowsbykelly.com   (Foxfire) and check his spine charts. Shawn

I looked  and at 30"s and 65# bow it says a 2117 but ya have to add ten pounds for a high performance recurve so in turn it leads ya to a 31" 2219. Shawn

Yup.  I guess I was suprised the widow liked the 2117's. They are bareshafting real well.

Of course these are closer to 30" BOP.  Will try some 32" 2219's and see if I can make them work, otherwise I'm ok with the 2117's at 9gr pp. 580gr if I use a cap wrap.

2216's seem like they would fly great and have the right weight. I think they are slightly stiffer than a 2117.
Just one more step please!

2216s spine 2#s heavier than 2117s

for 2#'s I think I'd stick with the thicker wall section !   ;)

And they weigh the same as the 2117 I forgot to add.
