hy guys, just looking for a little input.i checked my limbs the other day and found one of the tips just starting to delaminate. i'm not sure if i should use some type of crazy glue or epoxy for the repair. any input would be appreciated. thanks

MJB

Might want to send it to Dave to look at.
A Gobbler yelp Spring or Fall is a long conversation.

If it is the tip overlay only then you can probably fix it. If it's in the limb laminations, you probably should hang it on the wall

it's a small crack 1/4 way through the top of the tip, not in the limb section, just the tip.

Then I'd 2nd MJB and talk to Dave. Sounds like a fixer :-)

I once owned what Paul told me was his prototype for the Silver Ghost. A buddy still has it.

I thought the silver ghost was just a maple or dymonwood version of the take down. Was it actually a diff. model??

They were glued up by another company I think it was Martin. Then I believe Paul did all the finishing on them. They had quite a few delaminations of both the riser and the limbs and alot were sent back to Paul. Paul ended up replacing alot of these and I think it was a huge financial strain for Paul. I have one that was redone (riser and limbs) by Paul. What a guy to stand behind his product even though it was faulty gluing by another company. They were built with different materials than the silvertips were. More of a production bow.
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!
