I'm going to keep this Tri-State Jaguar I just bought, but the red limbs give me a headache.  I'm painting them green like the other Jaguar so I'll post photos to show the transition.  These bows flat-out smoke 8^).

I know....I know!  It's just me.  I just don't like the red.  These bows were made with what was called Owen's PermaGlass.  It has a woven look to it and was used on the Tri-State bows.  Tri-State was a subsidiary of United States Archery Company, Danbury, Connecticut.

Here are the red limbs.  I'll be back with the green ones 8^).

Man, I kind of like them!  Deer can't see red anyway, can they?

Awww, C'mon George-be a sport. I always liked these bows and never owned one. I had a feeling they're good shooters. Good luck with the paint job.                                Grant

Is it too late to be what I could have been?

I don't know my friend, if i'd paint them or not. I like red myself...Nice lookin bow you've got there... :)

I decided to lightly sand the riser as well and overspray it with clear.

Well, can't never tried, so here we go:

George, I am not familair with the bow, but I trust your opinion on its performance.  As for looks, your update is quite an improvement.

Nice job!

I don't know, George, you could have bought a new red pick-up truck and had a matching set.  ;)

George , My dad shot a Tri-State with green limbs. His bow is delaminated now but I still keep it . Great bows !

NO matter where you go there you  are !

George D. Stout

Bill,  that's worth a lot of memories there.  I grew-up in Boiling Springs area, just a few miles down the road from Shippensburg.
