With the guys at Ancient Spirits not returning calls or emails, I thought I would see if anyone here knows this.

My string is looking pretty ragged and I'd like to just have a couple spares.  Anyone know what the strings that come with the bows are made of?  How many strands, etc?

The ones I have made by them are regular FF.I think dynaflight or FF plus would be just as good or better.I would probably just get a dynaflight 14,15 or 16 strand with built up loops personally.

When I sold AS Bows I didnt care for their strings. I replaced most of em with TS1. They use FF.

Heydeerman,

They seem pretty good to me.  What makes the TS1 better?  I'm looking to get a couple made for the bow.  What do you recommend?

Dale,

It wasnt the material I didnt like.

I just use TS1 and B50.

Okay, I get what you are saying.  So basically any good string in fastflight or TS1?  Thanks for the input.

D97 is a good strong string material,I find it alot quieter then the old FF.A 12 strand D97 with .024 Halo serving with padded loop ends works out great for me.A 12 srand D97 is strong enough for up to a 100# bow.I make them all the same for all my bows for the same nock fit.I shoot a 12 strand D97 on my 83# DQ bamboo longhunter clear down to my 55# Savannah.
