Which came first,   AMF Incorporated    or   Head Ski Co., Inc .  Is one more valuable than the other?  I have an AMF on the way.

I think Head came first. Well after Lee.

It also stated that Bob left in 1973,inferring that he may have contributed in an advisory position,at least.That's the extent of the notes I have regarding that post,can't recall the author,but someone else may be able to shed more light on the subject.I have a 58",47# Redwing Hunter (Head Ski era)& a 62",50# Falcon (AMF era),both nice enough bows in their own right, even if not as desireable from a collectors' standpoint.

I think Head bought Wing then AMF bought Head.
I have a 50# AMF Redwing Hunter that's a good bow.
If the name makes them cheaper that's a bonus.

Your info is correct on the dates,or pretty close.There was also one other owner after AMF which was that Dr.Bob guy from NY...He was the person whom owned the rights to Wing back in the 90's.He had some recurves made.But then went compound and started haveing the bows built in Korea.I believe Bob and Rob Lee purchased the Wing name back from Dr.Bob.bowdoc

I agree with all as I collected a fair number of Wing bows.  I don't think the quality suffered thru the changes.  But the fact that limbs were being broken & twisted, most of the manufactures switched to wider limbs.  For me that's when the bows became less desireable as shooters.  The early small tipped Red Wings are a different breed from Head & AMF Red wings.  Same thing happened with the Bear bows.  Bowdoc could probaby expound on that info.  JMHO...Doc
