I shoot a Martin Savannah 55# and braced it at 7 3/4 and it seems to shoot great.  This is about 1/2 inch longer then the factory recommends could I damage my bow?  I draw a full 28".

Thanks,

I don't think it will hurt the bow.I brace my Savannah at 7",it gives me a longer powerstroke and shoots great. With a higher brace height the powerstroke is less and the speed is less. But if it is shooting fine at 7&3/4 thats fine.Everyone shoots alittle dfferently.
