For you guys that have shot these two recurves. What can you tell me about each of them? Performance, smoothness, forgiveness, ect. at 29" draw? Workmanship?

jd workmanship is great and second to none I think every bow I have seen from him is top notch  for the toelke  I have seen a few and they are nice also

I have not shot the tolke,, but hands down the wisperstick is very smooth past 30".
My feind John shoots a long draw and it is his bow of choice,,workmanship on the wisperstick is cleaner than my RER,,J

I had one of Dan's 52" recurves and have shot one of Jims 58" bows. In terms of smoothness at my 26ish draw but were similar. Jim's bows win in terms of noise  and speed. The craftsmanship of both was excellent.
I would pick a Whsiperstik just for how quiet it is. I am waiting on a 56" from Jim which should be pretty sweet.

Never shot a Toelke but I had a sweet Fedora 560 that is very similar.  I hear good things about the MOJO but I haven't found out yet.  Shouldn't be too long though.

Same here, never handled or shot a Toelke, but the Whisperstik is a real winner. Smooth, fast and very quiet, I was amazed at how fast it shot, even heavy 800gr arrows, for a 45#er.

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

I can't speak to the whisperstick, but the Toelke Whip is the finest shooting longbow I have ever had the privilege to hold.  I bought one a year ago and I am absolutely in love with it.  You won't find a prettier bow and they shoot even better than they look.  You will never regret owning one.  GAURANTEED.

That being said, I have very little experience with Dan's recurves.  I know they are gorgeous, and are smooth, but I have only shot one a couple of times.  It is at the top of my list for new bows.  And second place is waaaayyyy back there.

I guess I'll be the odd man out. I haven't shot a Whisperstik but do own both a Toelke Whip and one of his T/D recurves. His recurves are nothing short of a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I brought it to our traditional indoor shoot last week for the shop owner to shoot. All not long he repeated" Man this is a NICE bow" and "This bow really shoots nice". He was also totally impressed with the shape of the grip and how it "fit" his hand. At the end of the night when he handed it back he said "Man that bow is sweet!"

Dan makes an outstanding recurve.

I will join you in being the odd man out. I haven't shot a whisperstik either but it would be hard to convince me that there would be a better longbow or recurve being made.

You can draw a whisperstik to your ear with no stack. I dont know of many bows that can make that claim. Super quiet and still very fast. I have put a ton of arrows through them even very light arrows with no damage or increase in sound. In fact I shoot 420 grain arrows out of a 55lb 60" whisperstick recurve and its still the quietest bow I have ever shot.
