I aquired a bow from E-Bay. I am concerned about
brace height. The bow is 58" 40#@28". Can someone
help me with proper brace height for this bow.
Thanks in advance.

Start at the low end and twist your string after every shot until the bow shoots quietly.

SCATTERSHOT

Been awhile since I had one, but I seem to remember 8 1/2" brace on mine.

I have one made back in the 70's.  Great little bow.  Seems to me the original recommended brace height was 9"-9.5".  With an AMO 58" Dacron string and no twists, mine braces at 9.5"...

Bob Lee recommends 7 5/8 on the new ones I'll bet that is a good starting point. I have the very same bow mine is braced at 7 1/4 that is a little low IMO

I have am AMF redwing 40@28, 52".  I got it new in the early 70's.  The brace back then was around 9.5", but since I started shooting it again, I find that around 8-8.5 work better.

Nice bow,

Carl
