Something about shooting through those holes freaks people (myself included) out. Try sticking a 3-D animal in front of a pond, same deal.

Ours is called the bionic deer and has 6" vitals and is usually set at about 17 yards.  I've shredded more than one arrow on that thing, but that's nothing.  I always send one 'junker' arrow along with my kids and tell them ONLY ONE.  I guess some kid in front of them shredded his whole quiver on Steve Austin Deer.  I felt really bad for his dad, but it did make me   :bigsmyl:  .
Those look like a hoot.  I agree foam behind would be great.  I know there is nothing worse than making through the vitals only to have your fletching shredded off on the edge of the hole.  Good Luck, and remember...ONLY ONE!  :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:

I've been thinking of shooting that groundhog that lives near me... you know that Punxsutawney Phil      He's brought us nothing but crappy weather...

Those targets look great and I bet they make you concentrate on the shot
Keep the sun at your back and the wind in your face.

At a bow hunter ed class I went to in AK, they had a black bear steel target.  The catch was they draped a piece of black burlap over the body and you had to figure out where the proper kill zone was.  They did have it properly placed but after a while they had to call a cease fire.  That was to clean all the arrows away so a person could hit the vitals. LOL  a good many of them were from me.
