Thought I'd share some picture of the two Kim Sha longbows I've acquired. These bows are AWESOME! Especially the Mattawoman II, after "TP" dished the grip for me.

I bought the Shadow T/D in November while I was in Maryland. TP had it built and ready for me when we got there.

The Shadow T/D riser is grey action wood with purple heart palm. The limbs has 5 laminates, purple heart center core with 2 laminates of edge grain action wood and 2 laminates of flat grain action woods under clear glass. This is one of the fastest T/D longbow I've shot. Killed a big ole spike two days after receiving it.

The Mattawoman II riser is Chechan. The limbs has 4 laminations of bamboo, a lamination of carbon on the back under matte black glass. I love this bow, just looks like a hunting bow.

Both bows are 60", 58# @ 29.5".

Tom builds a heck of a bow.

Here's a picture of the spike and a few more of the Shadow T/D.

I love that combo of purpleheart and grey actionwood! Sweet looking bow. They do look like performers.

Thanks guys.

Ole "TP' and John Trippet are headed down here next week. Chief and I are picking them up in Houston and headed to South Texas for a 4 day javalina hunt. I'm bringing the Mattawoman II on this trip. Gotta bloody it in.   :D    :saywhat:

Again, great looking bow. I came back for another look...  :D
My best friend is moving to Texas, so hopefully I will be hunting South Texas one day soon myself. Good luck getting it bloody!

Tom is a top-rate guy and very good bowyer and fletcher.  Have fun with the bows.

That three piece is one of the best looking T/D's I've seen. The lines are perfect, strung it looks ready for business.

Mike:
It was good to meet you while you were up here. Sorry that evening at the "Farm" got rained out.
Looks like you've got two beauties. I'm sure they shoot as good as they look. You're right "TP" is one of a kind. Hope you all have a great time (watch the snakes) and tell John H.I said hello and that my (LOL) buck made it through the season. Saw him on the 3rd. I can't wait till 9/15 to get after him again.
Jamie
PS Don't forget to buy some more wool during the off season.

Mike-

Any chance you could post another pic or two of the limbs on that take-down.  That is a beauty.

Very Nice! Love that combo and the shading on the limbs.  That bow just screams, "Take Me!"  Looks like it belongs in the woods.

You just don't hear enough about TP's bows. He is one of the few "guru level" bowyers out there. I am pleased to have a few of his bows and to have had a bunch of great conversations with him. I need to call him!
