After a long and tortured wait my Chek-Mate H2 arrived last week.  :biglaugh:
Thanks guys!

They are very nice bows. I was dreaming of that longhorn just today!

Chad is a really good guy.He lives about an hour from me so a couple years ago I called him up and asked about a bow.He invited me over to try several different bows and the second trip I bought a Falcon. He spent several hours with me each day and he told me time and time again,"You don't have to buy a bow."

Man Law violation!!!  Where's the pics?

Robert, weren't you going to get an all Bacote H2?  I remember when you said thats what you were going to get.  I wanna see if it looks as good as mine.

rumor from a buddy that his buddy had a nice Chekmate and sent it back for a refinish, Chekmate didn't liek the way the limbs looks, built a new set, AND refinished the riser and sent it back without charge.

Thats FINE !

I really should take/post some pics of mine- cocobolo riser and yew limbs. A real nice shooter too, though it took a bit more tuning than my other CM's. Took 15 minutes, not 5 because I had to change the brace height twice before I found the sweet spot   :D  But it is seriously smooth, and the arrows go where I want them to. Well worth it!

I'm a big fan of CM bows. Currently have three, a 60" H2, 58" H1, and an H56.  My wife also has an H56.

I'm waiting on a 58" H2 riser in Zebra/Walnut that I'm going to mate up with an extra set of limbs I have on hand.  I ordered this riser with the gripped slimmed down a bit from stock...

I love my special falcon 60" 50@28"(pictured in my avatar)...still cant believe I am letting my buddy borrow it to convert him to trad.

Somehow I was lucky enough to get a CM Crusader (68") as my first trad bow (and dealt with Chad to boot).  Two of the three bows I own are CM's (also a 62" H2).  Darn good bows (shhhhhhhhh don't want the secret getting out).

BMOELLER, you are absolutely correct. Man Law Violation has occured.
I will get some pics up soon.
Yes , it is an all Bocote riser with Bocote limb veneers on both sides.
Apic of yours is what persuaded me. I couldn't make my mind up until I saw yours.

BMOELLER

Glad I could be of service. But it better not look better than mine!!! LOL.

My original limbs had the alot of birdseye bocote in it, highly figured.  Air bubble were developing under the clear glass and I sent them back to chekmate.  They sent me some back real quick, but they were more of a flat grain cut.  Still nice but not as fancy.

It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Love my Chek-mate bows , nice looking and shooters . Last week got a new refinished hunter II , but didn't had time to try it yet , may be today i will .
A question about the " Firebird " does somebody else on Trad Gang still own that bow ? what do you think about it ?
Just curious why i don't see or hear more about this bow ?
Chad told me the "Firebird" didn't had a big success and they stopped the building .
I just want to learn a little bit more about the history of that bow .
Eric .
